Frequently Asked Questions
This is a real street address verified by HMRC as a Directors Service Address service point.
Sorry, but in the interests of security and data compliance, we don’t offer a walk-in facility.
All companies incorporated in the UK are required by law to have a director. The directors don’t need to operate a business from their listed service address, but they’ll need to ensure someone is there to forward any correspondence sent to the director’s service address. Also, if you are a Person of Significant Control of the company you need to provide a service address.
Your home address can be used, but for security purposes, this is not advisable as it will appear on the public companies house register.
It’s also important to note that once your home address has been used as a director’s service address it will remain as a permanent record on the companies house register even if you change it at a later date.
Legal obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations and UK Government guidelines require us to obtain proof of identity and proof of residency of persons in significant control. Please visit verification for further information.
Statutory mail is scanned and uploaded onto our secure encrypted platform and sent only as an email link.
Sending scanned mail as attachments is inherently unsafe and not recommended. Read our post on email attachments.
If you fail to receive directors’ mail the ramifications can be serious for both the company and the directors.
Failure to act on official mail can trigger HMRC investigations and your company could be struck off the Companies House Register. You must also bear in mind that directors can be held personally accountable for negligence.
